Why did you start using the CFD studies of Flowgy?

Because in my daily practice I was missing a tool to better understand the real influence of certain anatomical problems of the nasal cavity on the functional symptomatology of patients. I had investigated other possibilities but all of them provide much less useful data and of course do not have the possibility to perform virtual surgeries.

What were you using before Flowgy?

I used traditional tools such as CT or MRI, physical examination and nasal endoscopy.

What has Flowgy enabled you to do?

The ability to better understand the influence of anatomical changes within the nasal cavity on airflow patterns.

The possibility of performing virtual surgeries to help me choose the best treatment strategy. Sometimes you are faced with quite complex cases in which you evaluate surgical alternatives that are certainly complicated. With Flowgy you can see that sometimes less complicated surgical alternatives can provide the same or better results.

What does Flowgy help you with most?

It helps me to better understand nasal physiology and gives me the opportunity to better select the type of surgical treatment.

How do your patients feel about CFD studies?

Most of them think it is a very sophisticated tool to analyze how air flows inside the nasal cavity. They believe that with CFD studies they will be able to know what is the problem behind their symptomatology.

Why is Flowgy important to your patient?

Tools like the CFD Studies of Flowgy give them the confidence that they will be provided with the most appropriate treatment for their condition. By being able to graphically visualize how the airflow behaves, they have a better understanding of the problem.

Many patients feel that with this tool they will also finally be able to better understand what their real problem is and what treatment options will be best.

How does Flowgy affect your daily clinical practice?

The incorporation of flowgy into clinical practice means dedicating a little more time to the study of each patient. However, the benefit comes precisely from knowing that you have thoroughly studied each patient and that you will not make wrong decisions.
